abstract Absolute Dynamic Topography (ADT) is determined as the sum of Mean Dynamic Topography MDT and weekly sea level anomalies (SLA) from 1992-2012 at a spatial resolution of 0.25 deg. MDT is derived from geoids: 1) GOCE only (GOCE TIM_R3 gravity model) and 2) combined GOCE and SCNEC-SLC09 (GRACE + in situ measurements). The weekly SLA are obtained from Aviso produced by Ssalto/Duacs and is corrected for the inverted barometer effect, tides, and tropospheric effects. Weekly absolute velocities are obtained from ADT using standard geostrophic relation.
